No One Saw It Coming by Susan Lewis (Review)

I liked it. I admit it did start out a little slow, but as I kept reading it got better. I was trying to keep the characters straight, but I think the author might also of been purposefully trying to throw us off, but i could be wrong about that. I partially guessed something part way through, but was still shocked at the actual reveal since i wasn't fully correct. I would say this is a great read for the mystery reader who isn't too much into the thriller genre. It has some thrills, but to me is more of a drama/mystery. It definitely keeps the reader guessing still which is always fun. If you decide to read this, I hope you enjoy. 

Everyone on This Train is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson (Review)

I really enjoyed this. I had just finished the first one, then got to enjoy the sequel. I enjoyed both, but this one a bit more than the first. Just like the first one, the title is very eye catching. I like it.

This was a fun thrill ride through the Australian desert. Both books are set in Australia, I've never been to Australia. I've heard it's beautiful...and hot. I think the setting of a train is perfect, and although it's been done before, it never gets old. This one was a fun, and fast paced. If you're into mysteries,murder, and humor then please check this out. I would say you don't have to read the first one if you don't want to. It could work to read them in any order, or if you choose as a stand alone,but I suggest to do the author a favor, and read both of them. I think he would really like that. Happy Reading everyone.  

The Night of the Storm by Nishita Parekh (Review)

I was extremely excited about this book, but was left a little down. First I do want to highlight some good points. First, the cover is amazing! It really sets the mood, and it does scream creepy, unsettling, and thrilling. Good job.

The book is good, but it's not amazing. I loved the setting. A house in the middle of a hurricane. That's great. I was sadly just a little let down. I didn't really like any of the characters, but maybe I really wasn't supposed to like anyone? The family is really dysfunctional, which does set the mood. I know I wouldn't want to be trapped in a house with just my family for company. I do like how the story unfolded as the night went on,and the storms got stronger. The mix between affairs, and drama was not as exciting in this as I've read in other thrillers. 

I will also say this. I'm not going to give up on Nishita Parekh. I think she has lots of potential, and just because this wasn't an amazing hit for me. It may be for someone else. Like I said,even though I didn't love it. I did like it. Thank you again for a chance to review this novel. 

The Bachelorette Party by Carissa Ann Lynch (Review)

This was a fun fast paced thriller.  I didn't know where it was going to go next. It's set in NOLA, now I've never visited, but I hope to someday, but from pictures I've seen I still felt like I was there. The characters were very interesting. It's a big mix of women who although seem like it should be a happy time all seem like they want to pull each others teeth out. I myself don't really have any friends so it was kind of great reading about this group of so called friends not get along. I guess I'm the weird one that doesn't like happy endings to what i read. I think this would be a wonderful thriller  to anyone. It would make a great intro if you're new to the genre. I hope to read more from this author again. Let's bring on the thrills, and leave the coconut out of it. :p  

Twenty-Seven Minutes By Ashley Tate (Review)

This was a pretty decent read. A little slow paced, but it was good. To me none of the characters are really likable, but I think they're written that way for a reason. With most thrillers I am still shocked by the ending, but I kind of guessed it with this one. Not 100%, but I knew something definitely wasn't right with the accident scene. If you're new to the thriller genre, and don't want anything too heavy I'd start with this one. I will say I liked it. I didn't love it, but I liked it.  

Puzzle House By Duncan Ralston (Review)

This book doesn't stop. From page one, you are dragged into this world of madness. It was incredible. I did'nt want to put it down. Every Time I read a Duncan Ralston book I end the book pleased. He doesn't go light on the horror, and I love that. This book keeps you on your toes. If you're into escape rooms, horror, puzzles, than I really think you'll enjoy this book. You will not be disappointed. 

The Mystery Guest By Nita Prose (Review)

I loved the first book from Nita Prose, after reading that I was hoping she'd write more, and oh boy did she deliver. I heard 'The Mystery Guest' was coming, and knew I had to read it right away. I love the Molly character. She is absolutely perfect. The Mystery Guest involves another murder. I love my books filled with murder, and twists too. This kept me guessing so much. I also love how there are two time lines in this book. I love hearing some of Molly's backstory.
This is a must read if you are a fan of 'The Maid', or mysteries in general. You don't need to of read 'The Maid' to enjoy 'The Mystery Guest' but I am suggesting you do, so you get to know Molly a little bit more. She is so much fun,an quirky ( I mean that in a good way.). Nita, if you're reading this i'm begging you please, PLEASE keep 'The Maid' series going. The world needs more Molly Gray in it.
