The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager (review) POSSIBLE SPOILERS

 

** spoiler alert ** POSSIBLE SPOILERS I read an ebook copy of this from the library. i was on the hold list at my main library, but noticed a copy was available at another. How? Why? I dont know. I thought all would have massive hol lists. So i quickly checked it out so I could read it before my actual hold was available. Woah what an amazing read. I finished it so quickly. (Would of sooner, but I actually did need sleep). I love all of Riley Sager's books. I really loved the supernatural elements woven in this. Should I add fear of swimming in lakes to my list? I enjoyed the mystery and guessing. Making my own theories, and guesses along the way, and STILL being shocked at the ending. At the time of writing this review I actually get to meet Riley Sager ( Thursday June 23). I look forward to it. Now to wait for the next release. ( I do this with so many thrillers. I just binge them. But it's oh so fun) Enjoy this wild thrill ride. Remember wear a life vest.

Thank you HarperCollins forward chance to review this. I liked this. It was twisting,and thrilling. At times it moved a little slow, but I still enjoyed it. What would happen if you woke up in a wooded area, and forgot everything? I love psychological thrillers,and this was pretty thrilling. I liked the settings too. Some of the locations are real places. I haven't yet looked it up, but it sounds breathtaking. A nice wild ride. I do recommend this book

Thank you to HarperCollins for getting in touch with me to review this book. How much would you gamble for love? Etta love Ola, but Ola only agrees to marry until they've saved enough money. Etta starts gambling,but that's only the beginning. I don't gamble, so I didn't get every little reference,but still was able to fully enjoy this novel. A very slow burning thriller,that I'm sure will be a great summer read for many.

The Game by Scottt Kershaw (review)

 Thank you to NetGalley for a review copy in exchange for an honest review. I was really excited about this one but for me it fell a little flat. It started out  so strong, but started to drag a little in the middle. I got lost at times, and felt it was moving a little slow. It picked up a little again towards the end, but still can't bring myself to rate it higher. Please still check this book out as it should not be missed. Again, thank you for a chance to review this book.  

Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney (Review)

 

I got a copy of the book in exchange for review from a goodreads giveaway. Thank you very much for a chance to review this book. This was an amazing read. It's full of mystery, and twists. It's very dark, and fun. I never guessed the ending, and loved every single bit of it. Go, and read this book as soon as you can.

Unmasked: My Life Solving Cold Cases By Paul Holes (Review)

I love true crime, and cold cases are even better. 

 Paul Holes memoir of investigating the Golden State Killer was amazingly written. I couldn't put it down. As haunting as the case is, you still get drawn deep into it. So many times I felt like I was right there with him right with the case. It's very scary to know you never know who could be a killer, they're hiding in plain sight. The monsters under the bed really are real. Only they're not under the bed. They're your next door neighbor.

 The Golden State Killer was able to hide so long,and that's scary to think about how people can get away with haunting crimes.  Thanks to Paul's work on the case along with DNA analysis, and help from Michelle McNamara (who also has a book on the Golden State Killer 'I'll Be Gone In The Dark' ) He was able to be caught. 

 I'm very glad I was able to read this, and if you love true crime I really think you'll enjoy this. 

The Patient by Jane Shemilt (netgalley review)

This book read slow for me. It was more a drama than a mystery or thriller. I liked the synopsis,and idea of the story, i guess I just wanted more thrill. I love fast paced thrills,and page turns,and was hoping this book would provide that,sadly I wasn't that thrilled.
