Twenty-Seven Minutes By Ashley Tate (Review)

This was a pretty decent read. A little slow paced, but it was good. To me none of the characters are really likable, but I think they're written that way for a reason. With most thrillers I am still shocked by the ending, but I kind of guessed it with this one. Not 100%, but I knew something definitely wasn't right with the accident scene. If you're new to the thriller genre, and don't want anything too heavy I'd start with this one. I will say I liked it. I didn't love it, but I liked it.  

Puzzle House By Duncan Ralston (Review)

This book doesn't stop. From page one, you are dragged into this world of madness. It was incredible. I did'nt want to put it down. Every Time I read a Duncan Ralston book I end the book pleased. He doesn't go light on the horror, and I love that. This book keeps you on your toes. If you're into escape rooms, horror, puzzles, than I really think you'll enjoy this book. You will not be disappointed. 

The Mystery Guest By Nita Prose (Review)

I loved the first book from Nita Prose, after reading that I was hoping she'd write more, and oh boy did she deliver. I heard 'The Mystery Guest' was coming, and knew I had to read it right away. I love the Molly character. She is absolutely perfect. The Mystery Guest involves another murder. I love my books filled with murder, and twists too. This kept me guessing so much. I also love how there are two time lines in this book. I love hearing some of Molly's backstory.
This is a must read if you are a fan of 'The Maid', or mysteries in general. You don't need to of read 'The Maid' to enjoy 'The Mystery Guest' but I am suggesting you do, so you get to know Molly a little bit more. She is so much fun,an quirky ( I mean that in a good way.). Nita, if you're reading this i'm begging you please, PLEASE keep 'The Maid' series going. The world needs more Molly Gray in it.

The Horror at Pleasant Brook by Kevin Lucia (review)

This was a great read. it was a wonderful terrifying tale of horror. i felt like i was reading an old classic paperback. the cover is also incredible. the descriptions in the book were incredibly detailed. if you're into horror i highly suggest this book. it should check off quite a few boxes for fans of the genre.

The Night House by Jo Nesbo (Review)

This is my first Jo Nesbo novel, but I have heard of him before. 

This was incredibly fast paced. it's one you get sucked right into. At first I thought the novel was going one way before it whips me around,and were on another path, but not in a bad way. This novel kept me guessing till the end. I was confused, but excited to find out what happened next. I apologize my review is a little all over, but I seriously don't want to spoil anything. This did put a new fear in me, but luckly I don't think I'll have any issues with coming in contact with the new fear. Read this book to find out. Can you guess what It is? Another book to add to that Halloween TBR.

Oh, I'd like to also comment on the cover of this. The cover is incredible. It's so spooky, and spine chilling.

That Night in the Woods by Kristopher Triana (Review)

This was my 2nd book from Mr. Triana the first was 'Gone to See the River Man'. This book was just as fun and thrilling it is such a good thrill ride. I loved the setting in the woods with a group of friends. It really sets the atmosphere of horror. This will be a wonderful Autumn read for the Halloween season. Maybe take this on your next camping trip. (I used to camp as a kid...I don't anymore...no nothing strange in the woods happened.). 

If you're looking for a good fright check this one out. 

Drowning by TJ Newman (Review)

 

Thank you to the publisher for a copy to read and review. I loved this. I liked it more than 'Falling' it was incredibly fast-paced. I felt like I was trapped with all the characters waiting for rescue. I felt the plane fall, the water rise as it starts to flood the aircraft. Every move they made. 

I just devoured the book. I wonder what TJ Newman will do next. I hope she keeps these airplane tragedies going. Although that might increase some fear in all of us. Some horror and thrills can be good sometimes. Right? 

The cover is awesome as well, just like in 'falling'. The cover in any book I think really speaks a lot about a book. I know we've always been told to never judge a book by it's cover. But I disagree with that. The cover is the first thing a lot of us see. Even before a synopsis. It can speak a lot about the book. The cover can not only tell the genre of a book, or even the author if they use similar styles or the same designer, but it helps it bring life to books, and helps attract the reader. That's what attracted me to TJ Newman's books. (As well as many other authors works).

If you're a fan of 'Falling' TJ Newman's first novel, I highly highly suggest you check this one out. Now I read both of her books on solid ground, but if you really want a scared, read it on an airplane, or this one in the ocean.
