The Resurrectionist: The Lost Work of Dr. Spencer Black by E.B. Hudspeth

First let me say what a fun book. I got this book through a reviewers mailing list I am on.

A great debut book from author E.B Hudspeth. Written in two parts. Part Frankenstein, part Grey's Anatomy. This makes for a good adventure. It starts out with a biography of Dr. Spencer Black, a doctor, a scientist, a mad man. Obsessed with animals and anatomy he transforms life to make new creatures of all sorts. I thought the biography section was a little short, but it did it's job well. Maybe in later books we'll see Dr. Black again.

The Second half of the book is really amazing. filled with pictures and diagrams all drawn and written by Spencer Black. I absolutely loved the detail in the end. Featuring a lot of mythical creatures many may recognize. It shows every angle inside and out of each creature.

I loved this book, definitely sharing with friends, and you should too.

In all I give this a 5/5 stars

I just wanted to put a reminder post out here that if a review is not posted here it will most likely be posted on my Librarything or my Goodreads. I try to keep this blog as up to date as I can. Sorry if it's behind.

Thank you all for reading
